WASHINGTON, March 13, 2019 Monogram Meat Snacks, LLC, a Martinsville, Va. establishment, is recalling approximately 191,928 pounds of ready-to-eat pork sausage products that may be adulterated due to possible product contamination, the U.S. Department of Agricultures Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. This recall is being initiated due to product tampering, following the production process. The ready-to-eat pork sausages are heat-treated and shelf-stable. The items were produced and packaged for Conagra Brand / Dukes Meats Corp. on various dates between Jan. 16 and March 7, 2019. The products subject to recall bear establishment number EST. 795 inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide. The problem was discovered on March 11, 2019 when the establishment confirmed that the product was distributed into U.S. commerce. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.
